Grand Prix Città di Belmonte Mezzagno

Bella prestazione degli atleti membri SBS - Südtirol Badminton School, che si sono messi in mostra durante il Torneo “Grand Prix Città di Belmonte Mezzagno” svoltosi a Palermo i giorni: 8-9 gennaio 2022.

Il giovane atleta siciliano Matteo Galati (tesserato A.S.D. Piume d’Argento) che, attualmente si allena a Bolzano presso l’SBS è riuscito a fare tripletta d’Oro, superando nella finale di Singolare maschile-categoria Senior l’atleta Emmanuel Perna (tesserato ASD Castel di Iudica) alla fine di 3 set combattuti: 17/21, 21/15, 18/15.

Nella specialità di Doppio maschile (assieme al suo compagno di squadra/Giuseppe Caracausi) è riuscito a salire sul gradino più alto del podio e altresì nel Doppio misto (assieme alla sua compagna di allenamento a Bolzano/Yasmine Hamza) è stato in grado di conquistare l’Oro.

Yasmine Hamza si è confermata la n.1 del Singolare Femminile ottenendo l’Oro anche nel Singolare femminile, battendo in finale l’atleta siciliana Giulia Federica Mangani (tesserata ASD Polisportiva Le Saette).

Italian Junior & Under National Championships

Excellent results obtained by the SBS- Südtirol Badminton School members at the Italian Junior & Under National Championships held last week-end in Milan.

SBS- Südtirol Badminton School confirms itself as a highly specialized Badminton Center that manages to develop the skills of athletes and make them become competitive even in the International level!

Congratulations to all athletes and their Clubs (from South Tyrol, Lombardy and Sicily) who partecipated in the aforementioned Championships and of course the athletes who managed to get medals!

International Future series in Cyprus

Another great success achieved by Italian girls (Katharina Fink & Yasmine Hamza both members of the SBS- Südtirol Badminton School), who managed to win the Gold medal in Ladies Doubles at the International Future series in Cyprus (last week-end). Katharina & Yasmine (registered also for the SSV Bozen Club) managed to overcome in the final the Ukrainian couple composed by Tetyana Potepenko & Polina Tkach in 2 set. Yasmine also managed to win a prestogious Silver medal in the Ladies Single. Congratulations to Katharina and Yasmine!

Summer Camp SBS 2021

This week-end ended the International Summer Camp promoted by SBS-Südtirol Badminton School (now tradition in Bolzano at the end of August). The players had possibility to join Badminton and Physical preparation under the guide of the 4 technicians/Staff Coaches like: Mr Csaba /Italy, Ms Erika Henriete/Italy, Mr Federico Tiribello/Italy (Physical preparation Coach) and Mr Davin Rutama (the “new” Assistant Coach/Sparring who has just arrived in Bolzano from Jakarta (Indonesia) to support this season the technical growth of young talents enrolled in our Badminton School. Warm thanks to all Coaches for great professionalism and dedication that enrich the knowledge of the players. We thank a lot also all the athletes for the participation and good-bye to next SBS International Intensive Winter Camp: 27th – 31st December 2021 in Bolzano city!

French U17 International

The young athlete Marco Danti (registered for Überetsch Badminton Club), won the Bronz Medal at French U17 International held in Bordeaux (France). Marco Danti (member also of the Südtirol Badminton School) with his partner (Simone Piccinin/Junior BC Milano) reached the semifinal in the Mens Double U17; The Italian couple have yielded in the semifinal againts french couple (Matys DURU/Anthony GOURDON, former French Champion U17) with the score: 17/21, 18/21. Congratulation to Marco & Simone for this beautiful result and we hope it will be a good omen for the upcoming Europen U17 Championship to start in early September in Slovenia.

Bulgarian Junior International

Great success for Yasmine Hamza (members of the Südtirol Badminton School)!
The 17 year old Italian champion won the Bulgarian Junior International, tournament held in Svilengrad city.
In the history of Italian badminton Yasmine (registered for SSV Bozen Club) is the only who won the Ladies single event at a Junior tournament, valid for the World Junior ranking.
Yasmine Hamza’s goal is to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

“It was a clear step forwars and an excellent start for the new season”, says Coach/Csaba Hamza who could not be there because he was buys in Müheim an der Ruhr with the Olympic team of German National Team. Soon he will be joined by his daughter and Katharina Fink. Both girls will train for the first time at German National Centre.

European U17 Circuitin Benalmàdena (Spain)

Beutiful debut of Marco Danti (registered for Badminton Überetsch club of Appiano) in the European U17 Circuit that taked place in Benalmàdena (Spain). The young player (members also of SBS – Südtirol Badminton School) reached the Quarter-final in the Boy Single event. In the Main draw of 64 he overcome first the Spanish boy (Ivan Torre), than in the second round passed the German player Luca Wiechmann by walkover and in the third round Marco beat the player from Luxembourg (Mike Sinico) with score: 21/10, 17/21, 21/9. In the quarter final Marco lost against seeded n.1 player from Spain (Daniel Franco) with score: 8/21, 15/21. Congratulation for this great start of season 2021!

Badminton Europe

Historical event for Badminton Südtirol! Katharina Fink and Yasmine Hamza get access to the European Badminton Championships that will take place in Ukraina from 27 to 30 Aprile 2021. Katharina and Yasmine (girls registered for the SSV Bozen Club of Bolzano city and also members of SBS – Südtirol Badminton School) will face the Turkish pair (Bengisu Ercetin/Nazlican Inci/n°39 on the WR) in the Ladies Doubles main draw of 32 places. We wish to Katharina & Yasmine a positive experience and good luck!

Portugal Junior BE Circuit

Great performance obtained by Katharina Fink and Yasmine Hamza , girls registered for the SSV Bozen Club of Bolzano city.

Last week-end at the city of Caldas de Rainha (Portugal), they distinguished themselves for their performance, both in Ladies Doubles and Ladies Singles too.

Katharina & Yasmine central 2 finals and at the end they won the Gold medal in LD; in the Single event Yasmine Hamza overcome her doule partner with score: 21/13, 21/19.

Congratulations for Yasmine & Katharina (members also of SBS-Südtirol Badminton School),  for this beautiful performance, and wish them good luck for the future since they will play the Double in the Elite Senior category from 2021.

Future Series Tournament of the BWF (Latvia)

Great start during the first “Elite” Future series tournament of the BWF calendar (after long stop for covid-19 sanity restrictions), by the girls registered for the SSV Bozen Club of Bolzano city.

Last week-end at the city of Jelgava (Latvia), they distinguished themselves for their performance, both in Ladies Singles and Women Doubles.

Yasmine Hamza managed and central 2 finals and then winning two Silver Medals, while her partner in Double (Katharina Fink) got one Silver Medal in the WD and one Bronze Medal in the Ladies Single.

Congratulations for Yasmine & Katharina (members also of SBS-Südtirol Badminton School), for this beautiful performance, after lockdown period!

South Africa Junior International

South Africa Junior International 2019: Yasmine Hamza and Katharina Fink (members of SBS - Südtirol Badminton School ), triumph also among the Junior category: Gold medal in Ladies single and Ladies double.
Three days after the historic success at South Africa Future series International, valid for the world rankings, Yasmine Hamza (16 years old) and Katharina Fink (17 years old), respecting the favor of the forecast.
They win together again in Ladies Double.
During the all-Bolzano ladies single final, Yasmine Hamza brings home a special success.
The two tournaments (held in Pretoria/RSA) also bring precious points for the world junior rankings, where Katharina advanced at position n.35/WR, while Yasmine entered in the firts 60/WR.
In Ladies doubles bothe of them entered in the firts 50/WR.
Among the athletes born in year 2002, Katharina Fink is now on position n.6; both athletes are members of the SSV Bozen Badminton.

BWF South Africa

Historic result achieved internationally by athletes Katharina Fink and Yasmine Hamza who managed to win the Gold Medal in Women’s Doubles during Elite tournament circuit, promoted by BWF and held in South Africa last week-end.
During this tournament, Katharina & Yasmine (both of them members of Club “SSV Bozen Badminton”, as well as members of SBS - Südtirol Badminton School, managed to defeat the Egyptian couple (Hadia Hosny/Doha Hany, seeded n.1 of the tournament and n.47 of the WR) in 2 set: 21/9, 21/17.
The victory and the prestigious medal came after passing the loacl athletes in the final (Megan De Beer/Johanita Scholtz) after 3 sets: 16/21, 21/15, 21/16.
Moreover Katharina Fink has succeded and won the Silver medal in Ladies Single, passing on her course important athletes like Hadia Hosny/EGY (n.116 of the WR) with score: 21/12, 21/16, Halla Bouksani/ALG (score: 22/24, 21/13, 21/12) and in the semifinal the Dorcas Ajoke Adesokan/NIG in 3 sets: 21/10, 7/21, 21/13.
The final was sold to te athlete from Mauritius (Kate Foo Kune) with score: 16/21,14/21.

Austrian U17 International

Successful result at Austrian U17 International, obtained by Yasmine Hamza (members of SBS – Südtirol Badminton School), who managed to reach the final and therefore to win the Silver medal in Ladies Single.
She was overcomed in the final by English girl (Leona Lee - seeded player n.6 of the tournament) in three sets: 21/18, 13/21, 21/16. Congratulation to Yasmine for this good performance!

BWF Senior Circuit in Cyprus

Great experienca and very good performance during BWF Senior Circuit in Cyprus by athletes members of SBS – Südtirol Badminton School. During Ladies Double final, played today, Yasmine Hamza and Katharina Fink have been overcome by Hungarian ladies, but only after a battle lasted an hour and with score: 12/21, 21/12, 19/21! They beat previously the seeded n.1 of the tournament (Alzeta Basova/Michaela Fuchsova from Czech Republic) with score: 21/15, 23/21. Meanwhile we point out the excellent performance of Yasmine Hamza who, managed to pass 3 round in the Ladies Single main draw, beating also the seeded n.4 of the tournament (Lilit Poghosyan from Armenia) in 3 set; finally Yasmine cedes the entrance in final against Swiss lady (Jenjira Stadelmann) with score: 13/21, 13/21. The other Bronze medal comes with the victory of Maja Fallaha (paired with the Cypriot Antrea Alexandrou). A well-deserved result and great awarness lived in their first final during Senior level competition that will surely return useful in the upcoming tournaments. Congratulations to Maja, Yasmine and Katharina!

Regional Junior & Under Championships of Südtirol

35 Medals (n.14 Gold, n.8 Silver and n.13 Bronz) won by SBS – Südtirol Badminton School member athletes, during the last Regional Junior & Under Championships of Südtirol, held in Bolzano on 6th October 2019.
No.15 Titles (of n.18 totally Gold medals) won by the following athletes (in alphabetical order): Chizzali Martin/SV Kaltern, Danti Marco/ASC Berg, Fellin Ruben/Sport Promotion, Fink Katharina/SSV Bozen, Florian Thomas/SV Kaltern, Galimberti Sofia/ASC Berg, Hamza Yasmine/SSV Bozen, Hell Anna/ASC Berg, Kössler Katharina/SSV Bozen, Pircher Manuel/ASC Berg, Riccardi Simon/SSV Bozen, Silbernagl Matthias/SSV Bozen. Congratulations to all the athletes who managed to get on the award podium!

Slovenia BE Junior Circuit

Great result obtained by two girls from Bolzano: Yasmine Hamza and Katharina Fink (recpectively Italian LS Champion 2019 and Italian LS Vice-Champion 2019), both members of SBS - Südtirol Badminton School, who reached the semifianl during Slovenia BE Junior Circuit held in Mirna last week-end.
Yasmine overcoming in the Ladies single draw the following opponents: Gyöngyvér Bordàs/HUN with the score: 21/5, 21/6, Judith Mair/ITA with the score: 21/14, 21/15, Weronika Gorniak/POL with the score: 17/21, 21/15, 21/18, yielding entry in the final after a long match against the seeded player n.2 of the tournament (Marija Sudimac/SRB) with the score: 19/21, 21/14, 19/21.
Katharina , on the other hand, overcome Zara Zuran/SLO in the first round with the score: 21/6, 21/6, Marie Ruzickova/CZE with score: 21/8, 21/12 and finally won the quarter final against Katerina Zuzakova/CZE (seeded player n.4 of the tournament) with the score: 21/17, 15/21, 21/13; the semi-final was lost against seeded n.1 player (Vivien Sandorhazi/HUN) with the score: 11/21, 6/21.
Katharina and Yasmine in the Ladies Double have grazed the entrance in the final (after winning the first set and leading 19/17 in the second set against the winner of the tournament: Lucie Krpatova/Katerina Zuzakova).
In conclusion 3 Bronze medals at the beginning of the season that give good hope for the future!

2nd SBS Camp Summer 2019

The International Summer Camp promoted by SBS - Südtirol Badminton School is successfully concluded (26th – 30th August 2019) in Bolzano.
Around 45 players from 8 different countries trained under the technical guidance of the Guest Coaches from Bulgaria (Peyo Boychinov/National Coach and Mens Double Champion 2019 in Bulgaria), and Ivan Panev/Coach in Luxembourg and Mens Double Champion 2019 in Bulgaria), and of course with local Coaches too, like Erika Henriete Stich (Coach of ASC Berg and SV Kaltern), Csaba Hamza (Head Coach of SBS) and Federico Tiribello (Phyiscal Coach of PROMOTUS).
A warm greeting to all participants of both SBS Summer camp (more than 100 players from 11 countries like: Austria, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Romania and of course Italy).
Special thanks to both Technical Staff for the excellent work carried out.
Welcome to the next International Winter Camp (organized by SBS in Bolzano city, from 27th to 31st December 2019), when we will have the pleasure of hosting a Malaysian national player and Coach!

1st SBS Camp Summer 2019

The International Intensive Summer Camp promoted by SBS - Südtirol Badminton School, which took place in the beautiful village such Jenesien (Bolzano) from 1st till 5th August has successfully ended.
Around 60 players from 8 different countries of which some "new entries" such as Ireland and Holland trained under the technical guidance of the Guest Coaches from Denmark (Camilla Martens/Coach at Odense Badminton Klub and Celine Juel/Coach at OBK and former European Junior Champion in LD) and of course local Coaches like Erika Henriete Stich (Coach of ASC Berg and SV Kaltern), Csaba Hamza (Head Coach of SBS) and Federico Tiribello (Phyiscal Coach of PROMOTUS).
A warm greeting to all participants and also a special thanks to the Technical Staff for the excellent work carried out.
Welcome to the next International Summer Camp, to be organized by SBS: Bolzano city, from 26th to 30th August 2019!

International u/17 „8 Nations“ in Spain

Another important achievement at International u/17 level, obtained by Yasmine Hamza (15 years old) member of the Südtirol Badminton School.
She managed to conquer the highest step of the podium, winning the Gold medal during the competition of the 8” Nations”, concluded last week-end in Spain.
Yasmine in pairs with Gianna Stiglich (both of them part of Italian National Team), won the final with the score of 21/16, 21/14 against the couple formed by Emma Piccinin/Petra Maixnerova (ITA/CZE).
Congratulations!
