Great conclusion of year 2018 with International Intensive Winter Camp promoted by Südtirol Badminton School, in Bolzano. 65 athletes coming from 8 different countries like: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Malta, Romania and of course Italy, are compared in the sessions of Badminton and Physical preparation under the guide of the 5 technicians what: Mr Csaba /Italy, Ms Camilla Martens/Denmark, Ms Celine Juel/Denmark, Ms Erika Henriete Stich/Italy and Stefano Camin/Italy. Technical high-level coaching and specially double training program leaded by Danish Coaches to enrich the knowledge of the players. We thank a lot all for the participation and good-bye to next International Intensive Summer Camps in year 2019: 1st – 5th August in Jenesien and 27th – 31st August in Bolzano

Bauzanminton Grand Prix International
Great results obtained from the athletes member of SBS (Südtirol Badminton School), in occasion of the 8th edition of the “Bauzanminton Grand Prix International”, tournament held in Bozen.
More than 200 players entered from countries like: Austria, Croatia, Germany, Switzerland and of course Italy are challenged on the n.22 badminton courts prepared by SSV Bozen & Sport Promotion in two different beautiful sport halls.

SBS Camp with Chinese Junior Team of the Anhui Badminton Center
The Chinese Junior Team of the Anhui Badminton Center (one of the best youth Center of whole China), visit the training center of the SBS - Südtirol Badminton School in Bolzano.
With the logistic cooperation of SBS, going to concluding the first intensive training week here in Bolzano, under the guide of the Chinese Coaches, while on 2nd November will start the second training week, in preparation of the athletes in sight of the Italian National Youth and Junior Championships. A lot of excellences (not only international level male and female athletes, but also world class Coaches who collaborate with National Junior Team of China).

European Badminton (Circuit U/17) Vienna
Another great conquest from Katharina Fink (player of SSV Bozen Badminton and student of SBS - Südtirol Badminton School that, she has succeeded in winning the Gold Medal/Ladies Single, on the occasion of Austrian U/17 International (part of European Badminton Circuit U/17), concluded in Vienna today. Katharina overcoming in semifinal the Ladies single champion/U17 of Spain (Ruth Veiguela with score 25/23, 19/21, 21/14), with which lost during Belgium U/17 International to Easter ’18; in the final she beat the best U/17 ladies of Switzerland (Julie Franconville with the score: 21/15, 13/21, 21/17). Congratulation for this Gold Medal, another historical achievement!

Intensive Summer Camp SBS - Bolzano
Great conclusion of second International Intensive Summer Camp of year 2018, promoted by SBS - Südtirol Badminton School, in Bolzano. This year have participated many players coming from 12 different countries, like: Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Romania and of course Italy. Südtirol Badminton School in China
It has been a week passed, when the delegation of SBS – Südtirol Badminton School has arrived in China.
Landed in Nanjing city, just for the last day competitions at the World Badminton Championships, the training start right after that under the guide of the local Province Badminton Team (one of the best in whole China, that has produced more National team athletes and world class competition players.
Thanks to the help and the supervision of Mr Zhou Jun Ling (world class Coach and Trainer of French National Team), the Südtirol Badminton School has succeed in bringing in this high level Province Center the athletes that have frequented this year the SBS, of which: Blaumoser Julian/GER, Cramer Tim/GER, Fallaha Maja/ITA, Fink Katharina/ITA, Kiosses Rafail/GRE, Hamza Yasmine/ITA,Pavelkovà Zuzana/CZE, Sotiriou Grammatoula/GRE, Spornberger Jakob/ITA, Szilàgyi Tamàs/ROM, Volpi Nicolò/ITA.
Yesterday free day to be able to visit the most ancient Buddhist temple in China, while today the training are taken back and ready for the second week of hard work!
Intensive Summer Camp SBS
The International Badminton appointment in Südtirol (Intensive Summer Camp promoted by SBS – Südtirol Badminton School), for the fourth consecutive year) is just concluded.
Such appointment dedicated for International players it becomes an attraction for many athletes of all the ages.
This year more countries represented, like: Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Poland, Romania and of course Italy.

5. Victor Hofsteig Youth International
Conclusion of the scholastic year of Südtirol Badminton School in the best ways, thanks to the very good results gotten from the athletes members SBS during youth competition in Wolfurt (Austria).
During last week-end some players reach important medals during “5. Victor Hofsteig Youth International”, like: Yasmine Hamza/Gold medal in the Ladies single/u15, Katharina Kössler/Gold medal in Mixed double u/11 (in couple with Senula Sumanasuriya/JUNIOR BC MILANO), Mark Obermeier/Bronz medal (Boy Single/u13) and Bronz medal in Boys Double/u15 in couple with Lorrain Joliat/SUI).
Also to mention the brilliant performance of Katharina Fink that, for a third consecutive time reaches a final in Ladies Single u/17 Circuit, promoted by Badminton Europe.
Katharina Fink gets a prestigious Silver medal in LS with the awareness to have centered in this season excellent results in the National and International tournaments.
Heartly congratulations for the technical wok, carried out in this scholastic year, by Staff Coaches: Stefano Camin (Physical Coach), Francesca Cretella (Instructor of Yoga Stretching), Heike Torggler (Sport Psychologist), Gabriele Ghirardello (Sport Psychologist and Mental Coach) and naturally Csaba Hamza (Head Coach Badminton)!
Intensive training with Christian Lind Thomsen
Will be end today the intensive training period (group and individual sessions as well), programmed in precedence by Südtirol Badminton School with the collaboration of Danish Coach-Sparring (Christian Lind Thomsen).
To such period of preparation in sight of the International Youth Tournament in Wolfurt/AUT of next week-end (with sessions of early-morning and afternoon training in Bolzano), participated the best athletes of the interested Clubs of Südtirol.
A special thanks to Christian Lind Thomsen, who joined SBS project’s training sessions in Bolzano the second time (with a great international level of Coaching and Sparring experience), for his exemplary work into the court!
Adria Youth International
Marco Danti (young athlete of Südtirol Badminton School) conquers the Gold medal at the “Adria Youth International”, held in Opatija/Croatia during last week-end.
Marco (member of ASC Berg) won the Gold medal in the Boys Double/u13 (in couple with Simone Piccinin/Junior BC Milano).
We hope that this collaboration among the two athletes in sight of the European Under 15 Championships, is a good auspice for other medals and positive experience for a technical growth into youth international level.
Italian National Championships
Katharina Fink (athlete of Südtirol Badminton School) writes the history of the Italian Badminton – Gold and Silver Medal for her at the Italian National Championships. A memorable success from the young athlete of SBS (only 15 years old): Katharina Fink who conquest a Gold Medal! It had never happened into the history of Italian Badminton that such a young athlete became National Champion. With the unexpected (but looked for) Silver Medal gotten with her companion in Ladies Double (Yasmine Hamza/14 years old), the party was completed for the club SSV Bozen Badminton (Club of which both the girls make part). This record is the greatest success of the Italian Badminton history concerning National Championships!
European Badminton Circuit U17
Another cornerstone for the athletes Südtirol Badminton School (SBS)!
For the first time two Italian athletes meet each other in a final during a European Badminton Circuit U17; in the Ladies single Katharina Fink imposes herself on clubmate Yasmine Hamza.
Together the two players (members of SSV Bozen Badminton) also won the title in Ladies Doubles.
Thanks to this success, Katharina Fink advance her status in the sixth position of the European U17 ranking!
International Youth tournament “Meraner Frühling”
The member of A.S.D. Brescia Sport Più / Nicolò Volpi (athlete of Südtirol Badminton School) has succeeded in winning a Gold medal and therefore writing his name in the “Hall of Fame” of prestigious International Youth tournament “Meraner Frühling”.
Nicolò has succeede in overcoming in semifinal the athlete of A.S.V. Mals /Simon Köllemann (partial result of match: 21/13, 21/14), while in final has the best performance in the Men’s Single u/19 draw towards Rudi Sagmeister/A.S.V. Mals (partial result of match: 21/16, 21/14).
Besides also other athletes of SBS have succeeded in winning medals as for instance: Maja Fallaha/S.S.V. Bozen obtain a Bronz medal in Ladies Single/u17, Martina Delueg/A.S.C. Berg won a Bronz Medal in Ladies Double/u17 (in couple with Lara Dösel/A.S.C. Berg) and Nicolò Volpi/A.S.D Brescia Sport Più won also a Silver Medal in Men’s Double/u19 (in couple with Edvin Hadzilalilovic/CRO).
Top Danish player Christian Lind Thomsen
The Südtirol Badminton School has had a great honor to entertain the top Danish player (Christian Lind Thomsen) that has collaborated during individual and group training during the current week in Bolzano.
A particular thanks to the Danish Coach and high-class sparring partner, that has shown great professionalism in coaching SBS athletes and spirit of collaboration with SBS Staff Coaches.
OLVE u/17 Badminton Europe Circuit
During the tournament “OLVE u/17 Badminton Europe Circuit” and “OLVE Youth International” just concluded in Belgium, some athlete doing part of Südtirol Badminton School, are distinguished with beautiful results.
Katharina Fink/SSV BOZEN has been the only Italian to have reached the final in Ladies Single/u/17 and obtain an important and historical result!
Other athletes like Yasmine Hamza/SSV BOZEN, reached quarter finals in Ladies Double (in couple with Katharina Fink) and Mixed Double (in couple Justin Seibel/GER), as the young Marco Danti/ASC BERG (athlete of the SBS from the year 2018) that he is distinguished in the Boy Single/u13 surrendering of a French athlete at the end of a hard and long match ended 21/23. Congratulation for this beautiful results!
Grand Prix Ginosa and Grand Prix Mals
During last week-end the athletes of Südtirol Badminton School have participated in two different tournaments of which: Grand Prix Ginosa (province of Taranto), and Grand Prix Mals (province of Bolzano).
Very good results obtained by athletes in different age categories considering number of winning medals; Conquered totally 29 medals of which: 10 Gold, 5 Silver and 14 Bronze.
Congratulation to the following athletes: Buratti Felix, Chizzali Martin, Danti Marco, Delueg Martina, Fallaha Maja, Fink Katharina, Hamza Yasmine, Kössler Katharina, Malojer Anja, Pircher Manuel, Pircher Lukas, Riccardi Simon, Silbernagl Matthias, Spitaler David, Spornberger Lisa, Stampfer Vera, Thurner Maria e Volpi Nicolò.
1st Superseries Tournament
During 1st Superseries Tournament held in Bolzano (in a beautiful sport hall), the athletes of Südtirol Badminton School has conquered 17 medals of which: 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 9 Bronze.
We signal particularly the great performance of Katharina Fink that to alone 15 years old has succeeded in overcoming all of her opponents in the Senior/adult category (high national level athletes like: Lisa Sagmeister, Gloria-Ramona Pirvanescu and Judith Mair (in the final).
Yasmine Hamza (only 14 years old) , has also conquered the tallest step of the prize ceremony platform in the Ladies Single (Under 19 category); in the Under 13 category the young athlete Katharina Kössler won the Gold medal in Mixed Doubles (in couple with Sumana Senule/Junior BC Milano)
The last Gold medal arrived by the winning of Maja Fallaha (in couple with Shao Lorenzo/Junior BC Milano): 1st Place in the Mixed Double Under 19 category.

Technical high-level coaching and open comparison of different schools of Badminton teaching to enrich the knowledge of the players.
