Two important medals at the Cyprus Youth Internationals in Nicosia; the athletes Yasmine Hamza (SSV Bozen) and Martin Chizzali (KSV Kaltern) have succeeded in climbing on the platform of awarding ceremony, by winning the Bronze medal in the Mixed Double specialty; while Yasmine won the Silver Medal in Ladies Single surrendering only towards the Hungarian Petra Meszaros.
Nevertheless is a beautiful end of year 2017 and a good auspice for the wishes of the New Year.
Grand Prix Luca Celeste
Beautiful performance of young athletes of Südtirol Badminton School during “Grand Prix Luca Celeste”, held in Ariano Irpino (AV) during last week-end.
Katharina Fink lost against the winner (Gloria Pirvanescu/BC Milano) in three sets: 13/21, 21/18, 17/21 and therefore got the Bronz Medal in the Senior category.
As well another medal (Silver), in the Ladies doubles where the couple: Yasmine Hamza / Katharina Fink, lost in the final against BC Milano players (Gloria Pirvanescu / Camilla Taramelli) in in 3 sets.
Interesting it is also mention the good play of Nicolò Volpi (ASD Brescia Sport Più), that he succeeded in beating the experienced player Cristiano Bevilacqua (BC Vignanelo) acquiring in this way the access in the main draw.
Slovenia Youth International
Two important medals obtained by Yasmine Hamza during Slovenia Youth International, held in Mokronog during last week-end. The Bronz medal has been arrived in Ladies Single where Yasmine beat in the quarter final the seeded player n°1 from Holland (Kirsten de Wit); unfortunately she has not succeeded in continuing in the semifinal, loosing against the winner of the tournament (Petra Meszaros/HUN) at the end of the 5th set. Another medal (Silver) has been arrived in the Ladies Double (couple with Emma Piccinin/BC Milano).
7th Grand Prix VICTOR Bauzanminton
Tally of medals won by athletes who attend Südtirol Badminton School, during 7th Grand Prix VICTOR Bauzanminton tournament, held in Bozen during last week-end.
In comparison to last year (where the athletes of SBS has won 21 medals during the 6th edition of Bauzanminton), this year the increase of the podiums has been notable , considering that the gotten medals have been 27 totally, which shows the general technical growth in all the age categories.y

European U17 Badminton Championships
Katharina Fink has been called by the National Junior Team to represent Italy during next European U17 Badminton Championships the they will take place in Praga (Czech Republic) from 21st to 28th November 2017
Zagreb U17 Open
Good performance of Katharina Fink (member Südtirol Badminton School) to the tournament in Croatia held last week-end.
During that tournament, denominated “Zagreb U17 Open”, Katharina has won the Bronze medal in the Ladies Double (in couple with Judith Mair/ASV Mals) while she classified to the quarter final in Ladies Single.
This U17 Circuit (promoted by Badminton Europe), is one of the stage in sight of the European U17 Badminton Championship they will take place in the month of November in the Czech Republic.
Second International Intensive Summer Camp
Second International Intensive Summer Camp promoted by Südtirol Badminton School, concluded best of the way on last Thursday in Bolzano.
64 athletes coming from 13 different countries like: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Taiwan, and of course Italy, are compared in the sessions of Badminton and Physical preparation under the guide of the 6 technicians what: Mr Hamza/Italy, Mr Jong/Taiwan, Mr Sade/Israell, Mr Atanasov/Bulgaria, Mrs Stich/Italy, Ms Pavelkovà/Czech Republic and Mr Camin/Italy.
Technical high-level and open comparison of different schools of Badminton teaching (Asian and European style) to the insignia of the different visions to enrich the knowledge of the players.

International Intensive Summer Camp Jenesien 2017
Another International Intensive Summer Camp promoted by Südtirol Badminton School, concluded today in Jenesien (Bolzano).
54 athletes coming from 8 different countries like: Denmark, England, Czech Republic, Greece, Germany, Romania, Switzerland and of course Italy, are compared in the sessions of Badminton and Physical preparation under the guide of the technicians what: Csaba Hamza, Camilla Martens, Steffen Rasmussen, Erika Stich and Stefano Camin.
This year the level of the athletes results the tallest in absolute, having widened the circle of talents, as for instance some English (under national team of Great Britain).
We thank all for the participation and good-bye to next time.
4th Victor Hofsteig Youth International
Winning medals obtained by SBS athletes during 4th Victor Hofsteig Youth International, held in Wolfurt/AUT on dates 9th - 11th June 2017. The collection of medals are: 1 Gold medal, 2 Silver medals and 2 Bronz medals.
To be mentioned the good performances of Katharina Fink and Yasmine Hamza.
Italian National Under Championships
Winning medals obtained by SBS athletes during Italian National Under Championships of Südtirol, held in Palermo/Sicily on dates 10th - 14th May 2017. The collection of medals are: 2 Gold medals, 4 Silver medals and 6 Bronz medals.
To be mentioned the good performances of Maja Fallaha, Katharina Fink, Yasmine Hamza, Vera Stampfer, Martin Chizzali, David Spornberger, Jakob Spornberger.

Regional Championships of Südtirol
Winning medals obtained by SBS athletes during Regional Championships of Südtirol, held in Bozen on dates 6th & 7th May 2017. The collection of 30 medals in total consist of 8 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 16 Bronz medals.
To be mentioned the performances of Martin Chizzali, Lukas Pircher, Felix Buratti, David Spornberger, Jakob Spornberger, Hannes Gozzi, Simon Riccardi, Florin Stuflesser, Matthias Silbernagel, David Spitaler, Martina Delueg, Maria Thurner, Maja Fallaha, Yasmine Hamza, Katharina Kössler, Katharina Fink and Anja Malojer.
These athletes have been the true protagonists of the above mentioned Regional championships.
25° International Youth Tournament Flypower Meraner Frühling 2017
Good performance of athletes SBS during “25° International Youth Tournament Flypower Meraner Frühling 2017”. To signal the bright result of Katharina Fink that in the main-draw succeeds in overcoming very good national level athletes such Hannah Innerhofer/SC Meran (quarter finale with score 21/10, 21/12) and Lisa Sagmeister/ASV Mals (in semifinal with score 21/11, 21/18). Katharina has been stopped in final by Austrian player/Lena Kremmel that she played a good badminton, overcoming her in a pulse-pounding match; partial score of the final: 21/15, 21/23, 21/23.
OLVE Youth International
Two important medals won by Fink Katharina and Hamza Yasmine during the prestigious "OLVE Youth International" tournament in Belgium. Katharina was able to reach the semifinal in the Ladies Singles in the Under 17 Circuit promoted by Badminton Europe (a historic achievement for an Italian athlete under category), while Yasmine earned the bronze medal in the Ladies Doubles (in pair with Danish Mette Blume)

Tally of medals won by athletes who attend Südtirol Badminton School, during 7th Grand Prix of Malles, held in Malles Venosta during last week-end; 24 very significant podiums demonstrating the technical level of young athletes of Südtirol.
Swedish U17 International 2017
Our young athlete Katharina Fink was invited by the Italian Badminton Federation to represent Italy in an under-17 category tournament of European circuit, promoted by Badminton Europe, which took place in Uppsala city (Sweden), in dates 27-29 January 2017.
SBS Winter Camp 2016
It ends the year 2016 in the best possible way for Südtirol Badminton School. We have just concluded the SBS International Winter Camp in Bozen with a record participation of 92 athletes from 8 countries including: Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Philippines and Switzerland. Special thanks to the Technical Staff of SBS: Csaba Hamza, Steffen Rasmussen, Camilla Martens, Zuzanna Pavelkovà, Erika Henriete Stich and Stefano Camin, who made this camps so succesfull. The SBS management thanks as well all the participants at the international camps, wishing them a Happy New Year.
Tournament at Nicosia (Cyprus)
Very good results achieved by athletes who attending Südtirol Badminton School, during the event held in Nicosia (Cyprus) during the last week-end. Katharina Fink won 2 Gold Medals (Ladies single u15 and Ladies Doubles u15 paired with Yasmine Hamza. Yasmine Hamza won 1 Bronze Medal in Ladies single u15 and Gold Medal in Ladies doubles u15 paired with Katharina Fink. Martin Chizzali won a Bronze Medal in Mixed doubles u15 paired with Katharina Find and reached the quarterfinals in Mens Doubles paired with David Spornberger
Slovak Youth International Under 15
Two atheletes attending Südtirol Badminton School, have performed well on last week-end event "Slovak Youth International Under 15" held in Trencin/Slovakia.
Katharina Fink won the Gold medal in the Ladies Single and paired with Martin Chizzali they won the Silver Medal in Mixed Double.
In this event was attended by many Under 15 national teams such as Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Ukraine, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, etc.
