Ladies Doubles of National Double Circuit - A category

Young girls (Katharina Fink and Hamza Yasmine), athletes of Südtirol Badminton School, won the Gold medal in Ladies Doubles of National Double Circuit - A category; The tournament was held in the city of Messina (Sicily)  last weekend

6° Torneo Victor Bauzanminton

Tally of medals won by athletes who attend Südtirol Badminton School, during 6th Grand Prix VICTOR Bauzanminton tournament, held in Bozen during last week-end; 19 very significant podiums demonstrating the technical level of young athletes of Südtirol.

Grand Prix Novi Ligure

Winning 9 medals by athletes who attend Südtirol Badminton School, in occasion of “Grand Prix Novi Ligure” tournament, held in Novi Ligure/AL.

A comment of Head Coach – Csaba Hamza:

 I am very satisfied with the results of my athletes; especially that of Katharina Fink, who was able to overcome the athlete in the semifinal , that I consider of great talent such as Martina Corsini; for me personally it is one of  my challengesthat I have appointed when I started my collaboration with the Sudtirol Badminton School in the year 2013, and I thank my colleagues (Assistant Coach, Physical Coach, Sport Psychologist and International Sparring) for their fruitful cooperation and use of scientific training methods. Yesterday's result is not an arrival (let us remember that the road is long) but only a confirmation that the technical  staff of the Sudtirol Badminton School is able to prepare young athletes technically on a par with athletes that are followed daily by national staff (which while they are doing a good job) like Martina  Corsini  (she is one of the athletes on which the FIBa invested more energy and resources over the past three years.).Achieve results like this (although starting with a player who three years ago was almost beginner like Katharina) and win the important medals in Italy and abroad, for the way I see it is a confirmation that the direction we are taking is the right one.  I always believe in the Team Work! In closing I would like to  mention also the conquest of Yasmine Hamza (Silver medal u/15) . She  managed to keep up in the final against the Italian vice-champion /u15 year 2016 (Judith Mair).

Zagreb Youth Open 2016

Bright start to the season for Katharina Fink who managed to win the gold medal (under/15 Girls singles) during the international competition called "Zagreb Youth Open 2016", in the capital of Croatia. Herewith a small comments of Katharina: " I am very happy for this gold medal to the Youth International of Croatia in the last week-end; I trained throughout the summer to SBS (both physical preparation that badminton) so I can deal with the long season that we face”

SBS Summer Camp Bolzano

 It has successfully completed the second SBS Summer Camp held in Bolzano, with participation of about 60 people (athletes and coaches) from 8 countries such as: Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Israel, Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland.

Greeting to all 120 subscribers in 2016 summer SBS camps that are making it big and more famous our Südtirol Badminton School.

International Badminton Camp Jenesien (BZ)

Has successfully completed the International Badminton Camp promoted by Sudtirol Badminton School in Jenesien (BZ).
Great participation and enthusiasm on the part of 56 athletes from 8 countries (Denmark, Germany, Greece, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, and Sri Lanka).

International Tournament in Wolfurt / AUT

SBS two athletes have excelled at international tournament in Wolfurt / AUT called "Victor Hofsteig" .Yasmine Hamza won the Bronze medal (Ladies Single) in the category u13 while in the doubles (together with Katharina Fink) won the Bronze in Ladies Doubles in the category u15

Campionati Regionali Under

Winning medals obtained by SBS athletes during Regional Championships of Südtirol, held in Mals on dates 21st & 22th May 2016. The collection of 22 medals in total consist of 6 Gold medals, 4 Silver medals and 12 Bronz medals.
To be mentioned the performance of Yasmine Hamza, the only athlete from Südtirol to have won three Titles (Ladies Single, Women’s Doubles (paired with Katharina Fink) and Mixed Doubles (paired with David Spornberger).

24th International Junior Oper FLYPOWER Meraner Frühling

SBS athletes participating in the 24th International Junior Open FLYPOWER Meraner Fruhling got medals in the categories u11, u13 and u15
In particular, we report the victory of Italian champion u13/2016 (Hamza Yasmine) who manages to overcome his rivals from Nations such as Austria, Croatia, Germany and Czech Republic, climbing the top step of the podium in the women's singles u13.

European Badminton Championships in France

Our head coach Csaba Hamza is taking part in the European Badminton Championships in France with his two athletes: Misha Zilberman/ISR who managed his first round easily by beating italian national champion Rosario Maddaloni in 2 sets (21:11, 21:15)and Austrais Number 2 Luka Wraber 21:14, 21:16. Zuzka Pavelkova/CZE unfortunately had to retire during her first match due to illness.

Italian Championships Junior 2016

Winning 9 medals (two Italian Titles) from the players SBS, during Italian Championships held in Milan on dates 21st – 24th April 2016

VSS Kidscup

Good result obtained by SBS athletes during “Jugend Cup” (promoted by VSS).
The athlete Simon Riccardi (born year 2004) managed to get on the top step of the podium (category u13/boy single) defeating the player of S. C. Meran/Schweizer Daniel.
Great performance by Laura Vegh (born year 2007) that wins the category u9/girl single.

BWF world circuit in Kingston/Jamaica and Cuba international Series

Our school's player Zuzana Pavelkova, took part in the competition of BWF world circuit in Kingston/Jamaica, finishing fifth on that International Series level tournament. Then she reached Cuba, for International Series level tournament as well in La Habana, where she had to give up after two match wins for sudden illness reason.

3rd module of Mental Training

The third module of Mental Training course promoted by SBS and guided by an expert in sports psychology Ms Heike Torggler of Merano. Today's theme was: “The training view by the athlete and overall performance in relation to it”. Next appointment on 13th April 2016
